Lucky 13's Tattoo Aftercare
Lucky 13's is a tattoo aftercare product that I am currently an affiliate with

They had asked me to do a simple "Before and After" post, which I'll still do, but I wanted to take it a step further and create a series revolving around tattoos!
For this series, in addition to everyone doing a "Before and After" of the product, I want to focus on three different styles described below: Catalogue, Drama and Lifestyle
In addition to the photographs, I am really interested in hearing your story about the tattoo, regardless of how meaningful it may be. I want to create a series that acts as a form of connection for those with tattoos and those that may be on the fence on getting one. I will personally be sharing stories about my own, good and bad. So if you're interested in trying out photography, here is a chance to take some of me! (Thank you ahead of time)
*I will probably throw in the Aftercare product in a couple shots for promotional use, but not all of them will be product focused shots*

The balm helps improve the colors/definition/vibrance of healed tattoo's as well as fresh tattoo's.
Objective
1) The Main objective is to create a mini series, and potentially an E-Magazine, of a collection of stories and tattoos.
2) The secondary objective is to assist in promoting the brand Lucky 13's and their aftercare product. This promotion will be in the form of either product placement, or as simple a spread with their advertisement.
3) The third objective, depending on how many opt in for it, would be to create a short documentary style behind the scenes video of all those who share their stories and of the shoot itself. Used for Reels/YouTube

What It'll Cost You
Nothing!
Seriously, I genuinely just want to create with you. So it will really only cost you your Time and Dedication to the expression of your story and body art. If you do decide to be apart of the behind the scenes interview and capture process, then it will cost you some vulnerability and your words as well. Your Steps
1) Choose a tattoo or collection of art that you have and are comfortable sharing
2) Review the prompts and start thinking about what stories you'd like to share, if you are not comfortable that is okay too!
3) Determine the appropriate attire to showcase your art. Prepare the necessary look or accessories to assist in achieving that look.
4) Come ready to apply the after care product for your before and after images, you can also wash up here as an alternative. (You will be able to review the ingredients of the product further down this page)
5) If the project interests you, fill out the form as best you can and get excited to create!
Catalogue Focus
This is a studio centered session that is focused on broader exposed and paired with a backdrop to compliment or match your skin tone. Wear clothing that showcases your tattoo as the primary objective. Feel free to accessorize and glam up as you see fit.
Drama Focus
This is a studio centered session where we get to play with lighting! Think of where your tattoo is located and poses that can show case the full design, or as close to full as possible. My focus on lighting will be to create dramatic fall off. Expressions will generally revolve around a more stern or stoic focus, but it will vary per tattoo and story. I am also preferring a more raw and natural looks for make up for these.
Life-Style Focus
This is an on-location/around my loft focused session. My aim is to capture you in your natural setting, doing things you do naturally while showcasing your tattoo as naturally as we can(lol too many naturallys).
Sharing Your Story
Now, I know not every tattoo has a story or meaning, and that is perfectly fine! It can literally be as simple as "I kinda just got it to get it", seriously, that's an avenue of connection and I welcome it! I would however love to still hear and share your story within this series if you are comfortable!
If you're unsure on how or what to share about your story here are some general guidelines:
- Why did you get this particular design/What is the meaning behind it?
- Where did you get the tattoo done, how much was it?
- How badly did it hurt? What was your overall pre, during, and post experience with getting the tattoo?
- What lead you to getting this tattoo?
- Describe your day/memory of the days building up to getting the tattoo
- How do you feel having got the tattoo?
- Any recommendations or tips for those that haven't got a tattoo yet?
Basically, take this opportunity as your "15 secs of fame" and share/express yourself freely! Ideally I'd like for you to have your story blurb typed up and ready to send over to include in the E-mag, alternatively though we can also do a video interview of you expressing your story for some behind the scene footage.
Mood Board
As with all mood boards, this is just to give you a general idea of either the style of lighting, posing, or overall mood we are shooting for. Most of the posing will be dependent on where your art is located, but I'll be relying on you upfront to bring creative posing to the table. Don't be afraid to suggest poses, it's in those uncertain times that we can find new creative solutions!
